We have switched things up a bit this year and have asked farms to add a few special events over the Uncorked weekend - these events are perfect for those wanting a more intimate experience & will need to be paid for separately but are not to be missed!

GLENWOOD Natures Window Walk & Wine Tasting

The natural beauty of our valley and surrounding mountains is best enjoyed from Nature’s Window, our tasting room in the mountain, where you will taste our Grand Duc range of wines and enjoy specially paired sushi from or tasting Room. The walk takes approximately twenty-minutes, ascends some 70 meters and passes through masses of indigenous fynbos. HAUTE CABRIÈRE: Cellar Master Tasting with Takuan von Arnim

Founded on the values of family, community and sharing, the von Arnim family of Haute Cabrière has been artfully harnessing the unique terroir (sun, soil and vine conditions) of the Franschhoek Valley since the property was bought in 1982. Second generation Cellar Master, Takuan von Arnim, has been building upon the family legacy begun by Haute Cabrière’s founder, Achim von Arnim.

For Uncorked 2020, Takuan von Arnim introduces the Haute Collection, a range of wine showcasing skill, creativity and a pioneering spirit of this maverick site-specific collection.

LA BRI: Interactive wine blending experience

Attempt the delicate art of wine blending.  Join us and create your own signature style blend. We will guide you through the blending process. You will learn more about the characteristics of the varietals and why certain varieties are used in blends. Your blends will we bottled for you to take home. A fun and informative experience for all! Maximum 10 pax per session.
LA BRI: Bespoke Vertical Tasting with the Winemaker

Our winemaker, Irene de Fleuriot, will take you through 6 vintages of La Bri. Experience how unique every year can be in the world of wine. Nibbles will be provide to reset your senses and clean the palate between vintages. Maximum 10 pax per session.
BOSCHENDAL: Chocolate & Wine Pairing

Join us for an indulgent Chocolate & Wine experience. This will be a tutored tasting where we will work through 6 wines paired with 6 chocolates specifically crafted to best complement the wines. The tasting starts with our two NV MCC’s followed by our Chardonnay/ Pinot Noir, Playpen Riesling, 1685 Shiraz and finally our Vin D’Or dessert wine. This is one tasting you do not want to miss.  
GRANDE PROVENCE: Classical Music Concert with a 3 course wine pairing lunch
